TEXT4LIFE

The TXT4Life program uses texting as a way for those in crisis or contemplating suicide to reach out and ask for help. TXT4Life has been hugely successful at dramatically increasing the number of troubled young people reaching out for help. When individuals text the word “LIFE” to 61222, they are connected with a trained counselor who can help them by listening, providing tools and resources, and helping them get to a safe place, both emotionally and physically.
